Welcome to our “Spirit Maker” program, where your dream of creating your own spirits can become a reality in 10 steps! With our expertise and streamlined process, you can have bottles ready to ship in as little as 45 days! Meet the founders of Generic Spirit. Sarah Fleck and Michael Fleck are a husband and wife team that are here to help you on your spirit making journey.

Step 1: Decisions – What’s Your Spirit of Choice?

The first step is deciding what type of spirit(s) you want to bring to life.

• Are you passionate about Whiskey or Bourbon?
• Do you envision creating a premium Vodka or flavored varieties?
• Are you dreaming of Tequila—Blanco, Añejo, or Reposado?
• These are just a few of the many spirits we can produce together!

Our team is here to help you explore the options and refine your vision. This decision sets the foundation for the exciting journey ahead.

Step 2: Exploration – Let’s Talk It Through

Once you have an idea of what you’d like to create, we’ll schedule a free exploratory meeting with our Generic Spirits Maker Team. During this session, we’ll:

• Learn about your vision and ideas.

• Walk you through the process step-by-step.

• Provide a realistic estimate of production costs.

You’ll leave this meeting with a clear understanding of the investment required to bring your spirit to market. This is your opportunity to ask all your questions and ensure you feel confident moving forward.

Step 3: Partnership Decision – Are We a Good Fit?

After the exploratory meeting, we’ll mutually decide whether we’re a good fit. We value transparency and want to ensure we both feel confident and excited to work together. If we mutually choose to move forward, we’ll officially embark on this exciting journey together.

Step 4: Company Formation – Building Your Brand

Now it’s time to lay the groundwork for your brand. You will need to officially choose a name for your company. We can help you or connect you with trusted third party team members to help with:

• Business registration and legal structure.

• Accounting and compliance.

• Logo design and branding.

• Website creation and online presence.

• Product and merchandise design.

Our goal is to ensure you have everything you need to launch your spirits business successfully.

Step 5: Defining Your Spirits – Crafting the Details

While your company is being set up, we’ll work in parallel to define the characteristics of your spirits.

• For Whiskey or Bourbon, we’ll discuss mash bills, aging preferences, proof levels, and flavor profiles.

• For Tequila, we’ll explore options like Blanco, Añejo, or Reposado, and decide on the proof and flavor nuances.

• For Vodka, we’ll consider traditional versus flavored options and their unique characteristics.

• While the above spirits are the most popular, we can work with you to create any type of spirit that matches your vision and goals. Gin and Rum are steadily emerging as exciting options in the market.

We’ll tailor the product to meet your vision and stand out in the marketplace.

Step 6: Sampling & Selection – Taste the Possibilities

Here’s where the fun begins! Based on your feedback, we’ll source 10–15 samples of spirits for each category you’re considering, allowing you to taste a variety of profiles.

• You’ll sample one type of spirit per session to avoid overwhelming your palate.

• We’ll guide you through the tasting process and help you evaluate the options.

By the end of these sessions, you’ll have selected the exact profile you want to move forward with. And yes, we’ll warn you—it’s best to pace yourself to avoid “over-sampling!”

Step 7: Production Planning – Setting Goals

With your spirit profile finalized, we’ll move on to production planning. Together, we’ll determine:

• How many bottles you want to produce in your first run.

• The timeline for production and delivery.

This step ensures we align your goals with the production process.

Step 8: Design – Creating Your Brand’s Identity

Design is one of the most critical phases of this journey. A well-designed product can make all the difference in attracting distributors, retailers, bars, restaurants and of course….. customers. We’ll work closely with you to:

• Select the perfect bottle shape and style.

• Choose corks or toppers that reflect your brand’s personality.

• Design and finalize your label, ensuring compliance with TTB regulations.

• Develop packaging that stands out on shelves.

We’ll also share insights into industry trends to give your product the best chance for success.

Step 9: Production – Bring Your Spirits to Life

Once all the materials are ready, we’ll schedule your production run. You’re welcome to join us during the first run—it’s an exciting moment worth documenting with photos and videos! This is a great opportunity to capture the excitement of your new company for your website and social media. During this step:

• Your spirits will be bottled, labeled, and sealed.

• Everything will be boxed, palletized, and prepared for shipment.

This is when your vision becomes a reality!

Step 10: Selling Your Spirits – The Grand Finale

Now comes the exciting part: introducing your spirits to the world!

• While you take the lead on sales and marketing, we’ll be here to provide support and guidance whenever needed.

• From answering questions to troubleshooting challenges, our team is dedicated to your success.
